Thank you for your patience about the class blog not being updated for several weeks. Ask me about: - Division - Iroquois Confederacy - Bird project - Opinion essays Language Arts: - This week in LA we have been working on story beginnings and adding suspense and detail to the beginning portions of our stories. We also began to talk about opinions and how to craft an opinion essay using a set template. Math: - This week in math we have been doing number talks about division. The involves sharing strategies with each other for solving division equations where we don't immediately know the answer. We have also discussed factors, prime numbers, and composite numbers. Science: - This week in science we worked on our bird projects and connected how birds and aircrafts share similarities along with their many differences. These projects will be shared next week. Social: - This week in social we began talking about the Iroquois Confederacy. We talked about some of the tribes. Moving forward we will be discussing their government system of consensus and the social structure. Key words this week: - Factors - Composite numbers - Prime numbers - Iroquois Please Note**** - Parent teacher interviews are next week on Thursday and Friday.
